LAST WEEK'S ROUNDUP: Cash trade did not develop until mid to
late Friday afternoon in parts of the North, and late Friday
afternoon in the South. Northern dressed trade was light to
moderate and ranged from 173.00-180.00, mostly 178.00-180.00,

weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 377; NE 490; TX 0; CO
0; IA 4,507. Keep in mind that these totals came out before
trade developed late Friday afternoon, so it will be
interesting to see just what actual the totals will be when
summaries are released later this morning.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
morning with packers focusing on the collection of new
showlists. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed
until the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to
be mixed with light box movement.

For the week ending July 14, 2018, Imported Beef Passed for
Entry in the U.S. totaled 40,776, 79.76% of the previous week
and 103.00% of the prior 4-week average.
